In brief

What works, what to weigh

+

Strengths

4 reasons to book
  • Unbeatable location for sightseeing — A short walk from Termini station and within easy reach of the Colosseum and Trevi Fountain — most guests mention you can walk everywhere.
  • Modern, clean rooms — Recently furnished with comfortable beds and large bathrooms; daily housekeeping keeps things fresh.
  • Friendly and helpful staff — Guests consistently report warm welcomes, useful tips on skipping lines, and even complimentary upgrades.
  • Solid value for money — Given the central location and clean, modern rooms, prices start from £29 – a budget option that doesn't skimp on basics.

Worth weighing

3 to weigh
  • Road noise can be an issue — Some guests mention traffic noise from the street – light sleepers may want earplugs or a quieter room.
  • Compact rooms — Rooms are described as small but functional – fine for a short stay, but not for those wanting space to spread out.
  • No parking on site — There's no parking listed at the hotel, so you'll need to rely on public transport or nearby garages.

“We got a warm welcome at this hotel in a perfect spot. Only a short walk to the train station and all of Valkenburg's sights were easy to reach. Our room was small but comfy, with good beds. Breakfast was tasty with plenty of choice. The big garden was a real bonus – we relaxed there in the evening.”

“The room was better than I expected – a well‑sized bedroom and a clean, new bathroom. The bed was super comfortable and I slept great. Location was ideal: easy access to Termini and just a short hop to the Trevi Fountain and the Colosseum. Daily housekeeping was spotless, with fresh towels and toiletries. Via Urbana nearby had loads of dining options. Only minor niggles: no disposable slippers in the shower and some road noise. All in all, a very good stay – I'd recommend it.”
